We are proposing to hold a SIG to discuss, please feedback if this would be of interest to you
“The ongoing debate about vendors disclaiming all liability, and their reluctance to provide any formal written route cause analysis is at odds with the FCA’s requirement for financial firms to have strong and effective oversight of their critical 3rd parties. IPUG feel that some of the big vendors now fall into this bracket given the breadth of data, services, and platforms they sell. Some examples are Bloomberg, Factset, M*, S&P, LSEG, and MSCI. This creates the need for clear, accurate, and written RCA (Route Cause Analysis) from vendors when their services cause disruption and impact to clients. IPUG would be interested to hear from members if they have been able to get RCA’s, whether they have encountered any challenges or success stories with Market Data vendors, with a view to create momentum to lobby those vendors who refuse to provide documented RCA’s to change their stance.
Please email exec@ipug.org if you have any comment, feedback, or questions. If we get enough interest we can hold a SIG in the New Year.”
